I know it has been a while

I know it has been so long and I have said for the last three weeks I was going to write, but I just haven't had time. I like my new school but its no Baccus. I really miss it there. Everyone is pretty friendly but they aren't a family. I am teaching prek. I have 23 three yearolds and 1 aid in the morning and 15 four year olds in the afternoon. We are supposed to have a new teacher start on Monday to split the load but we will see. Its a lot but for the most part they are good kids.

We have settled in to our new home and are loving the country life. When we go out to play in the evening Shane sits at the edge of the yard and hunts dove. (You might be a redneck! :)

The babies are doing wonderful. They stay with my sister Katie during the day and on Thursdays my mom comes. They are loving it here too. They have learned what a cow is and if you ask them what does a cow say the go mooo and can say cow. All are walking and are growing so tall. We have to make sure we keep things away from the edge of the table or they will get it. We had their 15 month check up and the Dr was very impressed with how well they are doing. He said that developmentally they are 15 months and not 3 months behind like most preemie babies. Dylan is 23lbs, Hayla and Clayton are 20lbs.

Hayla has become our little mother. When the boys cry she goes and finds a pacifier and gives it to them and loves on them and if I give them a snack when I fix dinner she takes some to the boys and feeds it to them.

Dylan is our climber if its tall he will do his best to climb it. Makes us so nervous.

Clayton is our dare devil. He will climb up on top of stuff, riding in the wagon he likes to let go, and he just thinks he's big stuff. He is also getting glasses. We noticed last month that one of his eyes was turning in and so we went to the eye dr and sure enough he needed glasses. We pick them up next week. It is going to be interesting.

Tomorrow we will be on our way to the deer lease for the first time. I will let you know how that goes.

My Cousin's Wedding

We attended my cousins wedding a few weeks ago and these are some pictures from it.
Clayton peeking through at the cake.
Hayla and Aunt Katie
Dylan doing one of his favorite past times moving furniture.
And Hayla with her sweetheart. This is a friends little boy, he is 4. Hayla met him for the first time on the 4th of July and just fell head over heals for him. He sat down on the ground and she just went and crawled in his lap like she had known hi, for ever. Then we saw them again at my cousins wedding and she acted like there hadn't been a day in between since they had last seen eachother. It is too cute.

Playing Football with Daddy

You know how dads are. They want play rough and tumble with their kids. Well Shane is no different. He chases them around the house and they run squealing. He slides them around on the floor and they laugh as hard as they can. Well now that everyone is walking well he plays football with them and they think it is hillarious. Hayla will even do the football stance when Shane does it. And they can all through the football pretty well.

We love playing outside

Dylan laughing and Hayla and Dylan playing with shovels and Clayton giving me the stare.

The babies love to be outside. They usually go out twice a day weather permitting. Their Aunt Katie, our sitter, takes them out in the morning after breakfast and then we go out after dinner. And when its time to go in you should hear the cries. They love to go on walks

to see the horses and cows. They all know what a cow is and can make the cow noise when you ask what does a cow say.

Hayla sitting with her great Memaw and Dylan and Hayla sitting with their great Aunt Malea. Just in the past few weeks they have become very interested in sitting in big people chairs.

This was their first wagon ride and they loved it. They screamed when we had to take them out. Here is their Grannie, my mom, showing them a grasshopper.

Playing in the playroom

We haven't quite finished the playroom yet, but we needed the space so we cleaned it up and took the babies toys in. They love it. We thought at the begining we might have to build a ramp because of the step down into the room but the babies learned that they have to crawl in and they have no problems stepping up.

The babies have learned how to climb on their rocking horse and race cars and think it is so funny.

Our New Family Car

Well since the babies have moved into their big carseats we had to move up to a bigger vehicle because the carseats wouldn't fit in my car. I drove Shanes truck for a while but we were still cramped. So we looked at various options for space and the suburban made the most since and we got a really good deal since no body wants them right now.
