Easter 2008

The babies will be 10 months old on Friday, March 28th. My how they have grown and wow its hard to believe how far we have come.

Hayla is 16lbs and 4 oz. She is sitting on her own and loves to sing. When we are in church she will just sing and sing to the music. I don't know if you remember or not but she use to sing to her brothers in the hospital. God has blessed her with a beautiful little voice.

Clayton is 16lbs and 8oz. He is sitting on his own. He is our growler. He loves to growl at Hayla and Dylan or us. With Hayla and Dylan they just laugh when he does it to them. And with us we growl back and he giggles and just keeps doing it. To think we almost lost him and now you can't tell he was ever sick. God is amazing!

Dylan is 20lbs. He too is sitting on his own and he is our eater. Anything we put in front of him he chows down on. He is learning to feed himself by using his hands to pick things up and put them in his mouth. He is also trying to pull himself up. Last night in his crib he was sitting there and then scooted over to the edge and pulled up to his feet but couldn't hold on for very long. He started out as the smallest and look where God has taken him. He is the biggest and ahead of the bunch. God is so good!

We gave them their first taste of candy for Easter. Hayla was not interested. She wouldn't eat it for anything. The boys on the other hand loved it and chewed them to death.

As you can imagine the whole family gathered around to watch. Everyone got a kick out of it.

In the end we had to give the boys a bath. They were sticky from head to toe. Hayla on the other hand just needed a face wipe. She wanted to play wit her egg rather than eat the candy.

Zoo Trip

Today we went to the Fort Worth Zoo, oh what fun!!! This was our first big family outting. Luckily we had Grandma, Grannie, Great Aunt and Great Grandparents there with us to lend a hand. Let me tell you the Friday of Spring Break is no time to go to the zoo, it was packed. The babies enjoyed being outside all day. They really did well. They had their first taste of snowcone and ice cream. That was interesting. They liked the snowcones and Dylan really liked the ice cream. Hayla and Clayton could take it or leave it. The pictures below are of them eating the ice cream. It was a long day and we were all tired by the end but it was a lot of fun.

Fun Times Around the House

The babies still have a pretty tight schedule and we try not get off if possible. But now that they are getting bigger and starting to move around we are having more fun.

Hayla is sitting on her own and has two teeth. Dylan is also sitting on his own and trying to crawl. He gets up on all four and rocks back and forth. No teeth for him or Clayton yet. But hopefully soon. Dylan has been chewing and drooling since mid December and the past few weeks his gums are so sore. Poor thing he just chews and chews and cries. Hayla didn't have any problems with her first ones and Clayton is fussy here and there. Clayton is sitting and rolls around to get from place to place.

Shane and I are trying to get the house ready for three mobile children, but we have the plan of using baby gates to keep them coraled in one area of the house.

We will start trying real table foods next week. I think Dylan is ready, not too sure about the other two. We have tried a few things here and there and Clayton tries to grab it all up like playing jacks. Hayla at first would just look at her plate and start to cry now she picks

Snow Day

Our first snow, Mom and Dad had more fun than they did.

Out for a walk

Now that the weather is getting nice we have been going for walks in the afternoons. They just love being outside.

Christmas at the Howland's

We didn't put up many decorations this year but we had to have a tree. The babies loved to feel it. Below are pictures of us decorating the tree.

Babies first ornaments

Here we are Christmas morning. What a day. Of course everyone wanted to be with the babies on their first Christmas. We started out the day before with my dad's side of the family and then Shane's extended family. Then Christmas morning we spent with Shane's parents and then went to my mom's family and then to my parents house. It was busy but was a memorable day. We thought about how the year before we had just found out there were three of them. Oh how different next year is going to be.

Our First Thanksgiving

Our First Halloween

Fun Pictures

Oh My Gosh! This was the family phrase when ever we told the everyone we were expecting triplets! And from then on anytime we did something to prepare we would say "Oh my gosh"!

Shane is an avid hunter so we thought it only right that the babies have their camo like Daddy!
Yes Daddy is a Vikings fan so the babies have their purple and gold. ( We need to get them some Cowboy colors)

Our First Taste of Real Food

We are four months old and are getting our first taste of cereal. Yum Yum!!!!
