Sorry it has been so long

The last six weeks has been very rough on us. With all of the medical tests Shane has had to endure and him not being able to drive and then the babies had a bad upper respiratory infections, we were doing good just to get our everyday household chores done. Things are finally looking up. All of the Neuro tests and Cardiac test have come back normal. It appears his "pass out" was just that. We will go to see the Neurologist one last time in May to put a close to all of this. And the babies are off breathing treatments and feeling much better.

They are growing so fast. Its hard to belive they will be two in one month. They are talking up a storm. They can say so many words and understand even more. Just this week they started putting two words together like "big bubble" or "help me". They love to help with the dishes after dinner. I wash and they rinse and put them in the dish drainer. What is so great now too is that I can take them all to the store now by myself with out a stroller. We hold hands and walk in it is so great.

I have posted several new blogs with pictures from the last six weeks. Enjoy!!!

Easter

Easter morning after church.

Oh what fun this Easter was. So much better than last year. We began our Easter activites on Friday with baking birds nest cookies. This was something my mom did with us every year and I was so excited to be starting with my children.

Then after dinner we stripped them down and dyed eggs. This was quite fun. Hayla wanted to crack the eggs like she was cooking. We had to convince her that we weren't cooking. Then after they had it down they thought it would be fun to splash in the dye. Oh what a mess. Their hands were solid bule and green and purple, but hey they had fun. ( On Sunday we gave them one to eat and they didn't like them)

Easter goodies from Grandma and Grandpa. (Shane's Parents)

Here they are hunting for eggs. Due to the rain it was very mushy outside so we had to hide them in the house. Everyone hid the eggs and then we gave the kids their basket and said ok go find an egg and put it in your basket, and the went to it. We didn't have to tell them twice. They were filling their baskets and when they were full they dumped them and started all over. Then when they realized there was candy inside they thought this was a great game.

Riding Horses

It is so much fun having horses right in the backyard and the kids love to go and feed them. As I have mentioned before Clayton is out little horseman. He would ride for hours if we let him. It has taken the other two much longer to get up the nerve to ride but they are finally getting to where they like it.
Hayla and Daddy Dylan and Uncle KimClayton and Uncle Kim Dylan being "Mr Stunt Man". He is such a dare devil.

Potty Time

We have officially begun potty training. They are all going potty in the little toilets every now and then. Big D woke up dry one Saturday and we took him straight to it and he went. Oh what a day it will be when we are done with diapers.

Our First Bubble Bath

The kids took their first bubble bath and after a little while they liked it. When we first put them in they kept saying " bubble, bubble". They are use to seeing regular bubbles that we blow and didn't understand that these were bubbles. Once they figured out how much fun they were we couldn't get them out of the tub.

Spring Break

We had a great time during spring break.
Lunch with Daddy!

We drove to Shane's work one day and took a picnic lunch. There is a little park just down the road where went ate lunch and then played until Daddy had to go back to work.

We planted a garden in the back yard. The kids thought it was great to dig in the dirt.

We went to the Gainesville Zoo!

This is not a big zoo it but it has quite a few animals and not a lot of people. We went with my sisters Katie and Anna, Anna's boyfriend and a friend from work and her little girl. It was so much fun.

21 Months

Wow its hard to believe that in 3 more months we will be 2 years old. Where has the time gone? Well everyone is doing great. We have really been pretty healthy this winter. Little bugs here and there but nothing compared to last year. They are all wearing 2T clothes, we are not sure how much they weigh. We had to put away the high chairs this week because they started climbing in and out of them. So we are sitting in booster seats like big kids. Next it will be the cribs and we are so not ready for that! We have really taken to the country life. The kids love to go on walks down the dirt drive and feed Grannie and Pawpaw's horses. They love to go barefoot in the grass and dirt out front. Last week one evening there were a tone of moths flying around the porch lights, the kids are fascinated with them, so they got their little chairs and sat in front of the sliding glass door and just watched the moths.

Hayla

Miss Mam is what we call her. She loves to help out from clearing the table to cooking with me to folding clothes. She also like to take care of the boys, loves on them and then turns right around and tells them "no no". She is very independent and will play by herself most of the time. She is a girly girl which is so funny because I am really not. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and to show off her clothes and hair. This past week I had painted my toes and she had a fit when she saw them. She started pulling at her shoes and telling me she wanted hers done. After I did it she showed everyone 20 times. She loves music and loves to dance. She is saying new words all the time and combining them with her sign language. She loves sign language. We purchased some books with kids making signs and she will sit and copy the signs she sees.
Clayton

Clayton is our little professor. He is very curious and loves to explore. He is also our horse man. As you can see he is riding the horse without anyone holding on. My uncle walked right next to him but he wanted to do it by himself. The previous week the two of them went riding and when my uncle brought him back he cried and cried because he didn't want to stop. He has a natural seat when it comes to riding. (this is the way a person moves when the horse moves). He has a large vocabulary as well and can copy just about anything we say. He is still wearing glasses but now has to do some eye patch therapy. For 2 hours a day he wears a band aid like patch under his glasses in hopes to correct the lazy eye. The eye doctor says his eye isn't bad enough for surgery but it does need to be fixed so we are trying this and we will see what happens.

Dylan

Then there is our clown. Yes little Dylan loves to laugh and make others laugh. He is afraid of nothing and willing to climb anything. A few weeks ago he climbed up on the table got as apple and started eating it. He is the first to learn how to open doors. Yes nothing is safe in our any longer. The door knobs were our last baby proofing and the other night we were all in our bedroom and Dylan closed the door and then opened. Shane and I looked at each other and said surely not. Then he did it again so the next day we put door knob protectors every where. He is talking up a storm too.
