My Cousin's Wedding

We attended my cousins wedding a few weeks ago and these are some pictures from it.
Clayton peeking through at the cake.
Hayla and Aunt Katie
Dylan doing one of his favorite past times moving furniture.
And Hayla with her sweetheart. This is a friends little boy, he is 4. Hayla met him for the first time on the 4th of July and just fell head over heals for him. He sat down on the ground and she just went and crawled in his lap like she had known hi, for ever. Then we saw them again at my cousins wedding and she acted like there hadn't been a day in between since they had last seen eachother. It is too cute.

Playing Football with Daddy

You know how dads are. They want play rough and tumble with their kids. Well Shane is no different. He chases them around the house and they run squealing. He slides them around on the floor and they laugh as hard as they can. Well now that everyone is walking well he plays football with them and they think it is hillarious. Hayla will even do the football stance when Shane does it. And they can all through the football pretty well.

We love playing outside

Dylan laughing and Hayla and Dylan playing with shovels and Clayton giving me the stare.

The babies love to be outside. They usually go out twice a day weather permitting. Their Aunt Katie, our sitter, takes them out in the morning after breakfast and then we go out after dinner. And when its time to go in you should hear the cries. They love to go on walks

to see the horses and cows. They all know what a cow is and can make the cow noise when you ask what does a cow say.

Hayla sitting with her great Memaw and Dylan and Hayla sitting with their great Aunt Malea. Just in the past few weeks they have become very interested in sitting in big people chairs.

This was their first wagon ride and they loved it. They screamed when we had to take them out. Here is their Grannie, my mom, showing them a grasshopper.

Playing in the playroom

We haven't quite finished the playroom yet, but we needed the space so we cleaned it up and took the babies toys in. They love it. We thought at the begining we might have to build a ramp because of the step down into the room but the babies learned that they have to crawl in and they have no problems stepping up.

The babies have learned how to climb on their rocking horse and race cars and think it is so funny.

Our New Family Car

Well since the babies have moved into their big carseats we had to move up to a bigger vehicle because the carseats wouldn't fit in my car. I drove Shanes truck for a while but we were still cramped. So we looked at various options for space and the suburban made the most since and we got a really good deal since no body wants them right now.

Just playing around the house

Well our summer has come to a close, but how wonderful it was. Yes it was filled with packing and moving and unpacking, but in between all that we managed to enjoy it. Shane was home with us until this week when he started his new job. Yes a job he finally found a job. He is working for a pond company that builds docks, and boats, and stocks ponds. We are hoping it works with his school schedule.

Shane enjoyed being able to be with us all summer that he has changed plans to go to vet school. Yes you heard right. He has decided to finish his degree in animal science and then get a teaching certificate and teach ag. He is going to be a wonderful ag teacher. And I can't tell you how excited I am about this decision.

I started back to work as of Wednesday, school doesn't start until a week from this Monday, its just teacher inservice. It was a bitter sweet day for many reasons. I was sad to leave my little ones but I knew they would be in good hands. My sister Katie is coming to our home to watch them. I was sad not to see the same faces I have seen for the past five years as I entered my new school, but oh how excited I am to teach pre k in a brand new school and I know it will be a wonderful year.

As for the babies everyone is doing wonderful. Hayla and Clayton are walking all over; Dylan is taking a few steps we are hoping in the next few weeks it just clicks. Hayla and Clayton are 20 lbs and Dylan is 23 lbs. Hayla is talking up a storm, she says yes, no, go, that ( she is always asking that? that?) dog, papa, momma, daddy, this. We are teaching them sign language and so far she is the only one that has picked up a few of those words too. Every now and then we can get her to sign more and all done. Over all they have adjusted well to their new home as have we. The country life is wonderful.

We hope you have had a great summer as well. May God bless you and your family this coming fall.

We Love to Swim

My sisters, Katie and Anna in first picture and Clayton in next.

Dylan and Hayla

Now that we are living close tp family it is nice to take advantage of their swimming pools. The babies love to swim whether it is in or out of their floaties. And splashing, oh is there splashing, I'm sure you can imagine three in a pool.
