Our First Playhouse

As most of you know kids prefer to play with a box over their toys and ours are no different. With us moving we have had boxes here and there and everywhere and the babies have banged on them, climbed on them and now played in them. I have wonderful memories of cardboard box houses from my childhood and now seeing my children playing in one just tickles me.

Daddy just cut holes in the box and is showing them what to do.

It didn't take long for them to start having a blast.

The Kids

The babies are 13 months now. They are all trying to walk. Hayla and Clayton have taken 4 steps here and there. Dylan perfers to use his little walking toy to walk around the house. They are great eaters and will eat just about anything. And we are off bottles. Yeah!!!!!

Here they are playing in their new room.

Dylan practicing his standing.

Clayton weighs about 18 1/2 lbs now.

Dylan weighs about 22 lbs.

Hayla weighs about 18 1/2 lbs. She has added Dog and go to her vocabulary.

Our trip to the Dallas World Aquarium

We took a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium this week, it was a lot of fun. The babies really enjoyed it. They had never seen fish before and just watched and watched them swim.

The babies are watching the fish swim.

Look at that sea turtle!
Lunch in the rainforest.

Our New Home

Here are some pictures of our new home. It took us a little longer to get in than originally anticipated. We spent a week with my aunt and uncle until the floors were finished. We were able to move in on June 27th. Below are some pictures of the house.
This is our front yard. What a yard! Once the kids get bigger they will have 10 acres to run around on.

Our Bathroom

Our Livingroom and our new furinture. We were so excited to be able to purchase new furniture.

The babies room

Our room, we still have a few boxes to unpack.

The babies playroom; this room still needs a lot of work. We are painting a farm mural on the wall. The black wall in the back is a chalk board wall and then the wall I am standing at is a magnetic wall. The wall opposite the green grass will be all shelves. Once it is all done it will be wonderful.

Swimming in our Pool

My parents got the babies a pool for their birthday. They love it. To them its like a giant bath tub. These pictures are from the first time in it. We spent about 30 minutes playing in it.

Our Birthday Party

We celebrated the babies first birthday!!! Oh what fun it was. I think we had about 50 people in our tiny house. It was hot and crowded, but so nice to have all the people who celebrated the day they were born there with us.

Presents were in abundance. Just think how many gifts one child recieves and multiply that by three. I was so proud of the babies they didn't get too fussy while opening presents.

Here Shane, my mom and I are helping open gifts.

After presents it was time for cake. We decided to go with a John Deere theme for the party.

Each baby had their own cake to dig into. Yum Yum!!!

Doing Great!!!

I know it has been a while but with packing up a house and a classroom with three infants there isn't much time for anything else. We are all doing great. Everyone is crawling all over the place and getting into more and more stuff. They find anything and everything they are not supposed to have.

Some of their favorite past times are playing the water from clean dishes as we unload the dishwasher, racing down the hall to see how can reach the open door before it gets shut, feeding the dogs goldfish because it is so funny, and seeing how much stuff they can take from each other before they one being taken gets mad. And right now they are seeing who can type the most keys on mommy's computer.

Having three is truly an experience. It is just so much fun to watch them interact with each other.

What we are doing now:
Dylan is ready to turn his car seat around, we just have to wait until his birthday next week. He is eating all table foods and loving it. We are guessing he is about 23lbs.

Hayla is our little singer, she loves to sing and clap to any music she hears. She is eating a few table foods and we are guessing she is about 18lbs.

Clayton is our antagonizer, if he can pester a sibling he is going to. He is working on eating table foods its just that his hands get in the way. He puts it in his mouth and then after chewing it up takes it out. We are guessing he is about 18lbs.

We turn 1 next week! I can't believe we have made it a whole year.
